I attended Florida University where I acquired my bachelor's degree in elementary education with endorsements in reading and ESOL. I have been teaching for the past six years and have taught a number of different subjects for students ranging in grades from 4th through 9th. Currently, I am a professional intensive reading teacher for students in grades 5, 6, and 9. While I tutor in all subjects, reading and math are two of my favorites. As for my teaching style, I believe that every child deserves a great education. I know that no two students are alike. Because of this, I try to work with my students in a one-on-one environment. Working one on one allows me to focus on one student at a time. In turn, I am able to determine their strong points and weak points. I can then work from there and put together a tailored lesson plan for the individual. I try to make learning fun. I use a lot of different educational tools such as games and hands-on instruction. When I am not teaching, I can be found with my eyes glued to a good read, enjoying quality time with my family, or spending time at my local church.
